TRANSLATION

MAES translations are close one-to-one word reproductions of the target language. Our translators are ATA certified and have studied translation approaches and methodology at superior degree levels. They possess fluency in both the target and source languages, and also have native-like fluency in at least one other foreign tongue. Our translators are also cultural experts. They have intimate knowledge of the customs, history, languages, and dialects of both source-language and target-language countries.

As a matter of course, dedicated project managers and content editors work hand-in-hand with our translators. They develop and adhere to project briefs, language style guides, and glossaries.  Additionally, all translation work is subject to multiple rounds of copy edits, proofreads, and cold reads in order to guarantee lack of inaccuracies, omissions, and to ensure exact narrative and voice.

Transadaptation

As an educational content provider, we are diligent about rendering translated content more culturally and linguistically relevant to all learners. We ensure that all translated content shares both the exact meaning and spirit of the source language…. invariably!

Our most favored calls for collaboration are content areas such as

  • Fiction and nonfiction

  • Student textbooks and teachers’ guides

  • Assessments and workbooks

  • Audio and video

  • Get in touch to discuss your translation and transadaptation needs!
