About Us

Montoro & Associates Editorial Services (MAES) is a diverse association of accomplished language-education professionals… each with years of experience in their respective fields.

We are immigrants and emigrants. We are American, Cuban, French, Israeli, Mexican, Peruvian, Spanish, Uruguayan, and other nationalities.

We self-identify with varied genders, races, ethnicities, religions, age groups, and social statuses. BUT we all share a common goal:  Ensuring our work reflects each client's needs!

Our Associates watch over client demands with a vigilant eye. And we listen and hear in pursuance of quality work… delivered on time, every time!

    President

I was born in Cuba and arrived in the US in 1992. I currently live in New York City, in the cosmopolitan neighborhood of Jackson Heights.

Reading is my first passion and traveling is a close second. There are always new books to read and new things to discover every time I step out of my house.

Working at MAES means empowering teachers and students. It means taking care of the education of current and future generations. I believe that only commitment and love lead to successful teaching and learning.

    Project Director

I was born in Peru. I immigrated to the U.S. many years ago. I am a mother of two beautiful girls for whom I try to set positive examples every day. I teach my children to enjoy every moment we spend together as a family and the value of hard work. I believe that moms who lead in the workplace raise empowered daughters.

Working at MAES is challenging and fulfilling. I am always learning something new. As Project Director, I ensure our professional relationships are rewarding experiences for all. This means ensuring that every project is in order, on time, and in scope.

    Publisher and Partner

I grew up in the Southern United States. Now I live in the South of France. I spend most of my time on the piano or raising two chihuahuas. Sometimes I head over to the beach.

My career choices have taken me around the world and back. I have lived in Chile, Ecuador, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. I have worked as a teacher, teacher trainer, curriculum developer, content editor, and textbook writer at some point during my travels.

Working at MAES allows me to fully embrace the breadth of my experiences and focus on creating responsible and culturally relevant content for readers and learners worldwide.

    Editor

I was made in Israel, raised in Venezuela, and matured in the United States; I am currently aging in Spain. My fascination with language has led me to become a writer, editor, and translator who tries to author a daily column on words.

One of the most interesting things about working at MAES is our truly diverse and international team; we have people from varied backgrounds working across half a dozen time zones around the world!

    Accounts Receivable Representative

I was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, home of Evergreen Tea drinkers and free-spirited people. I have lived in New York City for 35 years. In my free time, I like creating things like building furniture, sewing, and designing necklaces. I also enjoy playing golf because it’s hard and easy – and outside relaxes me.

Working at MAES gives me the chance to meet people from all over the world. It also allows me to contribute my own ideas in a collaborative way.
